Why We Exist

The Foundation seeks to integrate spiritual teachings with healthy mental and physical living. Our founder, director and board president, Rev. Dr. Terry Drew Karanen, has been involved in a variety of careers in the past four decades. He created the Foundation as a for purpose organization, organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a not-for-profit organization with federal 501(c)(3) recognition, to act as an online presence combining spiritual education with positive mental practices and healthy living. Our spiritual philosophy is based on universal principles found in all faith, religions and spiritual practices. Blending spiritual philosophy with science and religion is the foundation of the New Thought Movement, and specifically that of Ernest Holmes, the founder of the Science of Mind® philosophy.

Positive mental practices include ways to learn from our past actions and how to move forward with success. And, healthy living shows how we can be more fully involved in our own physical health, as well as the health of our planet. An additional component of the "Body" part of our Foundation is our philanthropic outreach, grants and donations to other like-minded organizations and individual who are striving to make our planet a more peaceful, safe and productive world in which to live now and for generations to come. Over 40 percent of the Foundation's gross income is granted quarterly to another organization or individual doing like-minded work for planetary peace through the Frank Anthony Vavrovsky, Jr. Memorial Fund.
